Autumn Liquid Fertiliser Tank Mix Programme

Managed Amenity Turf Areas

Background

The application of liquid fertilisers to managed turf areas is quick, clean and can be cost effective. By mixing compatible liquids it is possible to create the ideal nutrient inputs to feed managed amenity turf without using multiple applications, this reduces the cost of both labour and product.

Tank Mix for Managed Amenity Turf Areas

The main objective for greenkeepers and groundsmen, particularly when dealing with pressure of competitions, is to produce well presented turf surfaces.

This typically requires the input of sufficient fertiliser to stimulate recovery growth but without generating excessive top growth. This can be harder to achieve with granular fertiliser. At the same time it is important to continue promoting root development and help prevent the sward from disease.

This tank mix can fulfill all the turf requirements in an all in one application.

K-Max 11.0.39.

This highly soluble form of liquid Potassium Nitrate is ideal for toughening the grass plant and boosting Potash levels in soil. This toughening effect will also help prevent disease attack.

Go Green Plus

A complexed form of Iron which contains 6% Potash and zero Sulphur. This product will help toughen and colour the grass whilst helping prevent disease attack.

P Kursor

A liquid form of Phosphite. This type of technology is used extensively to protect against disease attacks and aid root development without increasing Phospate levels in soil.

Fertiliser Mix

Product and Application Rate
K-Max @ 30L/Ha
Go Green Plus @ 20L/Ha
P Kursor @ 2L/Ha

In 500 - 600 litres of water per hectare.

This mixture supplies the following per hectare:

Nitrogen 4.9kg
Potassium 18.25kg

Application Information

The fertiliser mix can be applied using standard vehicle mounted spray equipment, walkover/pedestrian sprayers and knapsacks using a medium spray nozzle.

Ensure the containers have been agitated before using. Half fill the spray tank with clean water and add the required quantity of product in the sequence outlined above under agitation. Add the remaining water and continue to agitate during spraying.

On emptying the containers, rinse thoroughly by using an integrated pressure rinsing device or manually rinsing three times. Add the washings to the sprayer at the time of filling and dispose of the containers safely.

Ensure that all spraying equipment is thoroughly washed out immediately after use with a quality spray tank cleaner such as "Red Alert".

Do not apply in hot and sunny conditions. Mix in the sequence listed.
